• What is the eligibility for appearing in the examination for CPT?

  A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time

• What are the qualifying marks?

  The qualifying mark is 50%. A student has to remember that CPT is an objective type test with a negative marking for selecting wrong option which will be indicated in the question paper.

• What are the passing marks in each subject? What is the aggregate required?

  Passing mark requires for all subject. Aggregate 50% requires (i.e. 100 out of 200 marks) It has a flexible scheme of negative marking to the extent of 25% of incorrect answers.

• What is the registration fee of ICAI?

  Registration fees is Rs. 3,500/- and students must pay this fees in Demand Draft.

  (Draft must be in favour of ‘The Secretary, The institute of Chartered Accountant of India’, Payable at Mumbai / Kanpur / New Delhi / Chennai / Kolkata depending upon postal address of the applicant

• Which is the last date for registration?

  A student to be eligible to appear in the CPT Examination must have been registered for the CPT Course with Board of Studies of the Institute on or before the following dates and must have passed 12th Class Examination or already appeared in 12th Class Examination of a recognized Board :-
  1. June Exams – 31st March
  2. December Exams – 30th September

• Which documents are submitted with registration form?

  10th Mark sheet (with attested copy)
  • Leaving Certificate or Date of Birth certificate (with attested copy)
  • Demand draft in favour of ‘The Secretary’ The institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ Payable at Mumbai /
     
  Kanpur / New Delhi / Chennai / Kolkata depending upon postal address of the applicant.
  • 1 Passport size Photograph

• What is the Exam fee?

  After getting registered for CPT course, students are also required to fill in CPT examination form separately. After getting registered for CPT course, students are also required to fill in CPT examination form separately.
  1. The Examination Form – Rs. 400/- (inclusive cost of application form & exam fee)

• Which is the last date of exam form submission?

  For June exam: Between 5th April – 25th April
  • For December exam: Between 5th Sept. – 25th April
  • Centers for Submissions of Forms :- All Regional /Branch Offices of the Institute in the country.

• Is there required any document submit with exam fee?

  No (except two pass port size photographs)

• Is exemption available at CPT level also?

  NO

• What is the total duration for completing C.A.

  It is 4 years (Approx.)
  • CPT (6 Months )
  • IPCC (9 months)
  • Final (3 Years)

• What is the fee of CRUX for CPT course?

  Refer Latest Fee Structure available at CRUX Center(s).

• Approx time to complete the total course?

  For Crash Batch : 2 Months
  For Regular Batch : 3 – 4 Months approximately

• What is the batch size at CRUX?

  50 Students

• How many days CPT classes will conduct in a week?

  All days – including Sunday (The Scheduling may defer time to time)

• Do you provide any study material from CRUX?

  Yes, All the materials for all subjects to be provided by CRUX and the material is prepared in very simple language for students.

• What is the next step after passing CPT?

  After passing CPT and 10+2 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto, a student may join the Chartered Accountancy Course.
