A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time
The qualifying mark is 50%. A student has to remember that CPT is an objective type test with a negative marking for selecting wrong option which will be indicated in the question paper.
Passing mark requires for all subject. Aggregate 50% requires (i.e. 100 out of 200 marks) It has a flexible scheme of negative marking to the extent of 25% of incorrect answers.
Registration fees is Rs. 3,500/- and students must pay this fees in Demand Draft.

A student to be eligible to appear in the CPT Examination must have been registered for the CPT Course with Board of Studies of the Institute on or before the following dates and must have passed 12th Class Examination or already appeared in 12th Class Examination of a recognized Board :-
1. June Exams – 31st March
2. December Exams – 30th September
